Troubleshooting Settings

The most common Settings issues — credentials rejected, language not switching, plan limit hit, payment problems — and how to fix each one.

"The Connected badge will not turn on after I save my AliExpress credentials"

All three AliExpress fields — App Key, App Secret, and Tracking ID — must be filled in for the badge to flip to Connected. If one of them is missing or got pasted with leading / trailing whitespace, the badge stays at Not configured. Toggle each eye icon, confirm the value matches what your AliExpress affiliate dashboard shows, and click Save again.

"Imports keep failing with API errors"

Almost always a credentials problem on the source marketplace. Walk through this list:

  1. Open Settings → Marketplaces. Is the relevant marketplace card showing Connected?
  2. Re-paste the App Secret (or Amazon Secret Key). Secrets occasionally get rotated on the marketplace side.
  3. For Amazon: confirm Host matches the regional storefront you import from (e.g. webservices.amazon.com for the US) and Region matches the host (e.g. us-east-1).
  4. Try importing a different product. If that one works, the original product is the issue, not your credentials.

"The Telegram bot saved but my channel does not receive posts"

Saving the bot token here only registers the bot with Afflow. The bot still needs to be added as an administrator of the Telegram channel you want to publish to, and the channel needs to be connected as a Group inside Afflow under the Groups module. The Integrations tab does not handle that step.

"My WhatsApp channel keeps showing the QR code instead of connecting"

The QR code is regenerated periodically. If your phone never scans it in time:

  1. Click Refresh QR Code to get a fresh one.
  2. On your phone, open WhatsApp → SettingsLinked DevicesLink a Device.
  3. Make sure your phone is online — the link is established phone-to-server, not phone-to-laptop.
  4. If the status flips to Sync Failed, delete the channel and create a new one — sync errors usually mean the WhatsApp session became stale.

"A Facebook or Instagram page status flipped to Expired"

Tokens issued by Facebook and Instagram have a limited lifetime. Click Connect Facebook Page (or Connect Instagram Account) on the same card and re-authorise — Afflow refreshes the token in place, so your existing groups continue to work without further setup.

"A feature is grayed out or shows an Upgrade button"

Some features are gated to higher plans. The most commonly hit ones are: WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, Amazon, Post Tracking, Auto Repost, and AI Image Optimizer (require Growth or higher); Auto Pilot Mode and AI Product Discovery (require Autopilot or higher); Pinterest (requires Scale). Open Settings → Subscription, expand Show full feature comparison to see which plan unlocks the feature, and upgrade from the same page.

"I am out of AI credits before the period ends"

Two options. Short-term: drop the Variations count in Posts → Settings → Variations for your busiest categories — going from 5 variants to 2 cuts the per-post credit cost roughly in half. Long-term: upgrade your plan from Settings → Subscription; each tier comes with substantially more credits.

"The language switcher does not change the app"

The language dropdown is on the Profile tab. Pick the new language, then click Save — the switcher stages the change but only commits when you save. Reload the page if any UI element looks stuck on the old language.

"The price on the plan card does not match what I expected"

Two reasons this commonly happens. First, the page defaults to the Yearly billing cycle to highlight the savings — toggle to Monthly to see the monthly headline price. Second, Afflow shows prices in NIS when your account language is Hebrew and in USD otherwise — switch language under Profile if the currency is wrong.

"My subscription says Past Due"

The payment provider failed to charge your latest renewal — usually because the payment method on file expired or was declined. Click Renew on your current plan card to re-run checkout with a fresh payment method. Once the charge succeeds the status flips back to Active and your features return to normal.

"I cancelled but I still see paid features"

That is by design — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. The hero card shows the exact end date next to Ends. Until then your plan continues to work normally; you can also click Renew on your plan card to undo the cancellation.
