Troubleshooting products

The most common reasons imports fail, prices look wrong, or buttons go missing — and how to fix each one.

"The Explore Products button is missing"

Explore Products only appears when AliExpress credentials are connected. Open Settings → Marketplaces and complete the AliExpress integration. Once connected, the button shows up in the Products page header automatically.

"Import failed" or "Invalid URL"

Walk through this checklist:

  1. Is the URL complete? A trimmed or shortened link can confuse the importer. Paste the full URL from the marketplace page.
  2. Is the product still live? Open the URL in a new tab. If the marketplace shows a 404 or "product unavailable", Afflow cannot import it.
  3. Is the marketplace supported? AliExpress and Amazon are first-class. Other marketplaces fall back to a generic importer that may miss data.
  4. Are the marketplace credentials healthy? Expired credentials cause import to fail with API errors. Reconnect under Settings → Marketplaces.

"Bulk import skipped some rows"

Two normal causes: the product is already in your catalog (duplicates are skipped silently, not re-imported) or the URL / ID in that row is malformed. Open the source spreadsheet and check the affected rows.

"The price or stock looks wrong"

Marketplace data is fetched at import time and only refreshes when you click Sync from Source on the edit page — there is no automatic background refresh. Sync any product whose published post is showing a stale price.

"Sync did not update my custom title or images"

That is by design. Sync refreshes price, discount, coupon, rating, reviews, sales volume, and commission rates — but it preserves your customised title, description, and image set so a sync does not blow away your edits. To pull the marketplace title back, clear the field and re-sync.

"The affiliate link does not work"

On the edit page, click Generate next to the Promotion URL field. If it still fails, the most likely cause is that the marketplace removed the product or your credentials are no longer valid. Verify the product is live and check Settings → Marketplaces.

"AI Suggestions shows an upgrade prompt"

AI Suggestions is included on higher-tier plans only. Compare plans on the pricing page or upgrade from Settings → Subscription. The rest of the Products module — manual import, Explore, edit, sync — works on every plan.

"A category is gone and my products vanished"

Deleting a category does not delete its products, but they no longer match the active category filter, so they appear missing. Switch the category filter at the top of the Products page to All to find them, then re-assign each product to a different category from the edit page.
